El priista Eduardo Bernal Martínez, advirtió el inicio de una campaña de desprestigio en contra del gobernador del Estado de México, Enrique Peña Nieto, ante la cual –advirtió—“los priistas responderemos con respeto, pero con energía”.
A su vez, el representante del Partido Nueva Alianza, Benjamín Ramírez Retama, señaló que lo más importante es promover la participación ciudadana en la próxima elección, y señaló que no es con descalificaciones ni vandalismo como se construye la democracia, sino con sufragios libres y conscientes a favor de quien convenza con ofertas políticas responsables.
Finalmente, el representante del Partido Verde Ecologista, Arturo Escobar Vega, planteó que el proceso electoral mexiquense debe demostrar altura en el debate, calidad en las propuestas políticas y transparencia en la actuación de la autoridad electoral
